Faith had been training with me for about 8 months and saw such a difference in her in a relatively short amount of time, especially since she is 63 years young! She came to me wanting to learn how to lift weights with proper form to help her gain muscle so that she can stay healthy and active. She was also hoping it would help with her skiing, bike riding, and jogging. Faith takes her workouts seriously and is always striving for perfect form. She really tries to feel the muscles she is using by utilizing the muscle/ mind connection.
She trained with me once per week and fits in another 2-3 workouts on her own while also working full time. We devised a program for her on an excel spreadsheet which she emailed to me every week so that I knew exactly what she did from week to week. We added exercises to her workout as she progressed.
Her weight-lifts increased from the beginning and that definitely proves that one can build muscle at any age. The biggest difference she saw since she started working out is that she realized she had nice looking muscles and feels much stronger in everything she does, from her sports to everyday activities.
I love Faith’s enthusiasm for weight training and how open she is to trying any new exercise I introduce to her. We had to work around a few minor aches and pains such as an aching shoulder which is very common. We have been able to strengthen her shoulder and the pain is now very minimal. She is definitely going to stay mobile and strong during a time that most people are getting weak and losing muscle.
